Hey, I'm TJ Slade.
I'm a web designer and developer, and the guy behind Solo Digital Design. I help small businesses, nonprofits, and entrepreneurs across Kansas City build websites that actually work for them: sites that look great, load fast, and bring in real results.
Based right here in Overland Park, I'm not some big faceless firm. When you work with me, you work with me.
My Story
How I Got Here
I've been building websites for years. While I was teaching, I started making them on the side for family and friends, treating every one like a real client project. Word spread, and in 2022 I launched Solo Digital Design to help local businesses with their websites and digital presence.
Teaching is also where I picked up what still sets my work apart: how to take something technical and make it make sense to anyone. No jargon, no talking down.
What started as a side project grew fast, and today building websites for Kansas City businesses is what I do full time.

I grew up in the Wichita area, went to a small high school, then Butler Community College and Kansas State. I moved to Kansas City after college and never left. Kansas is home, and I love helping the businesses that make it great.

When I'm not building websites, I'm probably out for a run, at the park with my son, relaxing at home with something on the smoker, or spending time outside with the family.
